STUDENTERAAD
The SRC is a dynamic team of students who dedicate themselves to their school. We strive to motivate others and lead the school in the right direction. Our slogan for the year: Ignite the fire, fuel the flame.
Ons probeer schoolgaan so lekker as moontlik maak. Om n gesolde gees in die school te handhaaf deur goeie kommunikasie, inisiatiewe en ondersteuning van verskeil apsis en aktwiteite is van kardinale belang.
The SRC is responsible for various projects, among which is the welcoming of the new grade 8 learners at the beginning of the year, junior ball, grade 11 dance, LAN evening, soccer day, grade 8 mentorship programme etc.

Being an SRC member involves a lot of hard work behind the scenes that is often unrecognized. One of the perks however is that the SRC has their own office which they use as a headquarter for organising projects and meetings as well as to relax during break times.

Die Graad 9-VRL-lede het saam met die Graadvoogde ‘n baie gesellige aand vir hulle medeleerders gereël. Die leerders het heerlik ontspan, mekaar beter leer ken en hartlik saam gekuier.
Later in the evening the microphones and speakers were set up and the Grade 9 group showed off their karaoke talents. The’ crowd’ on the pavilion were singing along and cheering their friends. The sweet melodies and laughter will be remembered for a long time!
‘n Paar flukse ouers het ingespring om te help met die braai van die boerewors. Saam met die registeronderwysers is ‘n produksielyn gevorm om al die boereworsrolle voor te berei – ‘n kuns wat menige restaurant hulle sal beny!
We want to thank our SRC members, Grade Heads, admin teachers and parents for this amazing evening! We look forward to more of these memorable events.
Verwelkomingsweek van Graad 8
Vanjaar se Graad 8 tema was muskiete. Na afloop van ‘n propvol week vol aktiwiteite soos ‘n swemgala, etiketklasse, boeresport, waatlemoenfees, spookhuis en deurnag by die skool het ons muskiete ‘n metamorfose na volwaardige Stellies ondergaan.
GRAAD 10-BRAAIDAG
Finally, the time arrived for the Grade 10s to have their own well-deserved function! And what better, if not a braai?
The Grade 10s of Stellenberg were given the opportunity to meet new peers and just dance the night away at a braai evening, on August 10. Many described it as the ideal beginning to our term and praised the esteemed teachers and SRC who made the event possible.
Die dag van die braai het nie baie belowend begin nie. Met stormweer, reën en wind, en pouses binne het die graadtienleerders in spanning gewag om te hoor of die braai voort sal gaan soos beplan. Net voor die braai moes begin, het die weer opgeklaar en almal was dankbaar vir die lekker braaiweer. Die opwondenheid was groot en die lus vir ‘n bietjie saamkuier, selfs nog meer!
GRADE 11 DAY
The Grade 11s celebrated becoming the seniors of the school on 28 October 2022 in fashionable style. They dressed in weird and wonderful costumes and entertained the whole school with a fabulous fashion show during break.
Die skool was ‘n kaleidoskoop van kleur en kreatiwiteit! Daar was ‘n verskeidenheid karakters uit bekende films, bekende akteurs, ruimtewesens en selfs ‘n paar “cowboys and crooks!”. Dit was ‘n heerlike dag wat ‘n wonderlike matriekjaar voorspel.
Well done, Grade 11s!
MATRIEKNAG
Oh, What a Night…
After a dull couple of years (due to the pandemic) our Matric group of 2022 “came out to play” when they attended the Grade 12 Disco Night! They were all dressed in multicoloured 1970s-attire.
Hulle het entoesiasties opgedaag met formidabele uitrustings en haarstyle wat die 1970-tema met fanfare en verbeelding nageboots het. Dit was ‘n aand wat die leerders en Graad 12-registerpersoneel nooit sal vergeet nie!
UITSTAPDAG
Valedictory – a time to say farewell! We had to say goodbye to the extraordinary Class of 2022. It was an emotional evening for the learners, teachers and parents. Die laaste lui van die skoolklok het ‘n twaalfjaarskoolloopbaan afgesluit!
The 2022 Grade 12s will forever be a part of Stellenberg High. Graad 12-leerders sluit ‘n slot aan die Stellenberg-hart vas om hulle ewige verbintenis met die skool te simboliseer.
And then they had to leave – we see them walking away…Ons weet egter dat die afskeid slegs tydelik is – hulle sal altyd welkom wees by hulle Stellenberg-huis!
