The SRC is a dynamic team of students who dedicate themselves to their school. We strive to motivate others and lead the school in the right direction. Our slogan for the year: Ignite the fire, fuel the flame.
Ons probeer skoolgaan so lekker as moontlik maak.
The SRC is responsible for various projects, among which is the welcoming of the new grade 8 learners at the beginning of the year, junior ball, grade 11 dance, LAN evening, soccer day, grade 8 mentorship programme etc.
Green: Headleaders
Maroon: Representative Council of Learners (Top three in each grade)
White: Senior Council
Being an SRC member involves a lot of hard work behind the scenes that is often unrecognized. One of the perks however is that the SRC has their own office which they use as a headquarter for organising projects and meetings as well as to relax during break times.
Verwelkomingsweek van Graad 8
Vanjaar se Graad 8 tema was muskiete.

Later in the evening the microphones and speakers were set up and the Grade 9 group showed off their karaoke talents. The’ crowd’ on the pavilion were singing along and cheering their friends. The sweet melodies and laughter will be remembered for a long time!
‘n Paar flukse ouers het ingespring om te help met die braai van die boerewors. Saam met die registeronderwysers is ‘n produksielyn gevorm om al die boereworsrolle voor te berei – ‘n kuns wat menige restaurant hulle sal beny!
We want to thank our SRC members, Grade Heads, admin teachers and parents for this amazing evening! We look forward to more of these memorable events.
Charing Is Caring
For Mandela day our learners accepted an invitation from Tygerberg Oncology Centre to raise funds for new Chemotherapy chairs.
Learners bought stickers to wear something floral with their uniform on Thursday 18 July, to symbolise hope. On Friday 19 July admin groups entered chairs into a decorating contest.
Well done to the class monitors for being the “Chair leaders” for the project. Thank you to everyone who brought it all together. A special thanks goes to 8A6, they decided to raise funds in their own capacity too. Well done Stellenberg.
Thank you to Vredekloof Spar and Roman’s Okavango for gifting the winning class with a delicious reward. Parents could enter a raffle to win a framed artwork by renowned South African artist, Theo Paul Vorster. The winning Karri purchase was registered to Ruben Stipp.
GRADE 11 DAY
The highly-anticipated Grade 11 Day finally arrived on 16 October 2024. A true Stellie tradition, the event allowed learners the platform to showcase their creativity through themed outfits which reflected their favourite characters. (We hope that the blue Smurf paint came off without too much of a struggle!)
The first-break fashion show’s electric atmosphere proved inescapable as the school gathered to watch the Grade 11s strut their stuff on the red carpet. And the festivities continued in second break; the Geesgat was a hive of activity as the Grade 11s socialised to the music.
As is clear from the photos, the day was a roaring, fun-filled success.
MATRIEK AFSKEID
On 19 September 2024, Stellenberg High School celebrated its much-anticipated matric farewell at the beautiful Eureka Estate. This year’s theme, “Italian Countryside,” transformed the venue into a charming slice of Italy, complete with rustic decor, vibrant colours, and enchanting lights that captured the essence of a serene Italian evening.
Students arrived in elegant attire, embodying the spirit of the theme with flowing gowns and dapper suits that added to the enchanting atmosphere. As they walked the red carpet, the excitement was tangible, with friends and family capturing memories through countless photographs.
The evening kicked off with delightful canapes followed by a mouthwatering harvest tablefeaturing a delectable selection of Italian cuisine, all thoughtfully curated to transport guests to the heart of Italy. Laughter and joy filled the air as students celebrated this amazing evening.
The highlight of the evening was the dancing, where students showcased their best moves on the dance floor. The DJ kept the energy high, spinning tracks that had everyone on their feet, creating unforgettable moments.
UITSTAPDAG
At the Grade 12 Valedictory, we took a heartfelt journey back to where it all began—1731 days ago, when parents watched their children take their first steps into high school. The years since have been filled with growth, laughter, and challenges.
This event was not just a farewell to high school but a celebration of the resilience, independence and memories they have gained along the way.
